Dive In Movie: Ghostbusters 2016

Calling all Ghost Girls! Easily one of the funniest and best-cast movies of the year, the Ghostbusters re-imagining features four female characters ghostbusting in an event you won’t want to miss. Featuring a team up of Bridesmaids Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy and bringing along SNL players Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon, this new take on an old classic will leave you chuckling along as you float in the pool in your swimtrunks, enjoy some tasty treats, and ogle the adorable yet brainless secretary Kevin. I’ve personally asked them to turn the pool green for this event, but I’m not sure it will happen. Ghostbusters 2016 is rated PG-13, so be aware that it might not be great for super little ones or manbabies that can’t handle women doin’ it for themselves.
Dance-A-Thon

Fusing exercise with awareness, this dance-a-thon is a no pressure way to sweat away the blues and enjoy the companionship of your peers. This event is being held in support of breast cancer awareness month.
The Art of Storyboarding

This free seminar hosted by Dan Schaefer will walk you through storyboarding in the entertainment industry. An in-depth look is promised, so you won’t want to miss a step. If you don’t recognize the name, Dan has worked on several home bound TV shows and advertising projects.
The Nightmare Before Music

Part of what made The Nightmare Before Christmas so popular was the music, and this nine-piece orchestra known as The Saloon Ensemble has created an interactive orchestral experience that’s simply to die for. Costume contest and after parties are also available for participation.

This special exhibit, included with your admission price, is a celebration of the art possible through bamboo. Traditional bamboo craftsman will create art on site. Please make sure to check the website before heading over for the day due to construction and garden shuttle issues.
