Michael Henchman and Radio Stranger are happy to be returning to the wonderful stage and warm listening atmosphere that we all know and love as Café Artichoke.

Michael creates a distinctive Americana sound that brings to life new stories on age-old themes of love and loss, hard times and hope. Michael’s latest EP “Near and Far” is a richly textured, mostly-acoustic project. He continues to follow characters along life’s wayward paths, charting their journeys unfolding in cinematic landscapes. He will be sharing new songs that are slated for his upcoming record project, “Bargain Against the Barley.” A summer release is in the works.

Radio Stranger is a Portland-based duo, writing and performing their unique brand of eclectic acoustic pop music in the Pacific Northwest. The duo consists of Kelly Brightwell & Woody Moran — two established singer/songwriters who combine forces to create songs that people want to listen to & sing along with over and over again. Their sound is reminiscent of Birds of Chicago and the UK band The Shires. This March, Radio Stranger is honored to open for David Wilcox at a sold-out Portland house concert. They are finishing up their second EP, which is due out later this spring.

Joining us for the evening, doing double duty, will be two amazing musicians: Jean-Pierre Garau on keyboard and Jeffrey Koch on guitars, both of whom are in-demand session players and members of project bands, who always bring a distinct touch and high caliber musical sensibility.
