Come participate in a student organized place-making event this finals week at PSU’s Grazing Gardens! The event is part of an annual Portland city-wide community building event called the Village Building Convergence, which is now in it’s sixteenth year! From June 7th thru the 9th, students will take part in a plethora of fun, creative activities, such as Yoga and Crafting. The keystone activity of the event will be the building of a ferrocement bench infused with a mosaic art-piece. The bench is dedicated and greatly inspired by the legacy of a passed, former PSU student named Nicole Sangsuree Barrett. The event will be located in the Grazing Gardens greenspace in the pedestrian corridor in-between Neuberger Hall and Smith Memorial Student Union. Students with children are also encouraged to participate and bring their young ones to do their part in the project with special children’s activities. Place-making is perhaps the best activity to participate in if one wishes to de-stress from finals, become more extracurricularly involved, or just to meet new people! Free pizza for all volunteers! We hope to see you there! ✌
