If a tree falls and snow one's around to hear it, did it still hit Smith?

On the night of Tuesday, Jan. 10, the city of Portland  was hit with one of the hardest snowstorms in years. At the Portland State campus, the severe snowfall knocked down a large tree into the Smith Memorial Student Union. There were no injuries despite the building damage.

Across campus, many students went out to play in the snow. PSU closed Wednesday, Thursday and part of Friday morning. Temperatures appear to be on the rise this upcoming weekend especially on Sunday when the average temperature will be around 33 degrees. Nonetheless, the snow and ice will remain for a few more days.
