Anti-Japanese sentiment exists
In reference to “SFC chair decided” (Vanguard news, May 8) I was disappointed that Tracy Earll was chosen over Erin Watari, but I believe that decision was probably made out of anti-Japanese sentiment; like the cry of “violations,” should be GROUNDED.
Erin Watari still has a chance as SFC chair. She was NEVER disqualified, and she IS chair-elect. She won that position and should be chosen for it. Whether orientations were the issue or not doesn’t matter. Any decision made out of prejudice should be permanently GROUNDED. Anti-Japanese sentiment still exists as a problem and must by no means be repeated OR tolerated. Such decisions made out of that factor should NEVER be accepted or excused.
