Naked launch
Officers were called to the east side of the Portland Center for Advanced Technology building at 8 a.m. Oct. 24 on a report of a naked man in the area.
They discovered Dylan Jennings, 18, singing, dancing and attempting to climb a light pole.
Jennings was clad only in a short, open, heavily studded jacket, studded wrist bands, an athletic supporter and a skeleton face mask. He told officers he was concerned about four bags of leaves he had observed in a nearby shopping cart.
Officers estimated him as “in crisis” and called Project Respond of Multnomah County Behavioral Health division. Jennings was transported to OHSU for evaluation.
Flour power
The Portland Fire Bureau was called to the Simon Benson House at 7 p.m. Oct. 14 when an unidentified white powder was discovered outside the house. The substance proved to be flour.
Trojan horse
When the Office of Information Technologies conducted its daily scan of all PSU computer systems for viruses on Monday, Oct. 15, it discovered a virus known as Trojan Horse had been introduced on Sunday.
OIT found the virus attached to a PSU account. In the process of removing the virus, the office discovered a suspicious text document, which it forwarded to Campus Public Safety. CPSO turned it over to the FBI, where its contents automatically became confidential.
Suspicious letters
A person in an office in East Hall reported sustaining a lip sore soon after receiving a suspicious letter. The letter arrived Oct. 11 and the sore was reported Oct. 13.
A medical check of the victim showed no effect attributable to the letter but the letter was taken for investigation.
A PSU safety officer investigated another suspicious letter received at an office in the Fourth Avenue building at 10 a.m. Oct. 16. The officer found no evidence of suspicious circumstances.
Sleeper stopped
George W. Grigorieff, 56, was transported to the Multnomah County Detention Center after being awakened by patrolling officers while sleeping in bushes at Southwest Park Avenue and Jackson Street. A warrant check showed he was wanted for failure to appear in court on a trespass charge.
Age questioned
Since she appeared to be a possible juvenile in violation of curfew, Christina Rulison, 23, was stopped by officers at 3 a.m. Oct. 18, at Southwest 11th Avenue and Montgomery Street.
A consent search turned up multiple syringes and a small bag containing a white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine. She was arrested for drug possession and transported to jail.
Officers were called to the Ondine at about 8 a.m. Oct. 15 on reports of a man sleeping in the lobby. Officers noted a wallet in his back pocket. When they asked his name, he said he was Devin A. Twedt of Utah. However, they noted an Oregon ID in his wallet. When they questioned him further on his identity, he jumped over the back of a sofa and fled running. The wallet he left behind revealed he was actually Sky G. Trammell, 25.
A man wanted on a Utah warrant for failure to appear on a Department of Motor Vehicles criminal charge fled campus officers when questioned.
