George P. Elijah, 22, was arrested for domestic violence assault after officers were called to a College Housing Northwest residence hall at 2 p.m. May 3. The complainant told officers the suspect hit her in the eye during an argument. He was transported to jail.
An unattended purse left in the Vanport Room of Smith Memorial Student Union yielded $1,110 to a thief April 28. The theft occurred about 3:30 p.m.
A passenger side window was taken from a 1999 Honda Civic parked on the seventh floor of Parking Structure One about 1:30 p.m. April 30. The dashboard and a CD player inside also were damaged.
A stereo was taken from a 1992 Honda Civic parked on the fourth floor of Parking Structure One, also on April 30 at about noon. A passenger side window appeared to have been pried open. The loss was $300.
A bicycle and lock were taken from the west side of Science Building Two about 8 a.m. May 1. There was no value estimate.
A female student complained that an unknown male has been following her around the campus for a couple of weeks. She filed a complaint at 1 p.m. April 30.
Officers stopped to question what appeared to be three males fighting in the Plaid Pantry at Southwest Ninth Avenue and Mill Street at 2:15 a.m. May 2. When they attempted to question the men, they fled.
Officers were able to question one of them at Southwest 13th Avenue and Columbia Street. They found that Gary A. Graves, 24, had an outstanding warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was transported to the Multnomah County Detention Center.
As for the others, officers concluded they had been “horse playing” in the store and were not charged with a crime.
CPSO received a complaint April 13 of exposure and fondling that day in Cramer Hall. The suspect may also be a suspect on a similar complaint being handled by Portland police.
