Sisters Amber Griffiths-Clark (left) and Sarah Griffiths choose to defy signs cordoning off a section of Smith Memorial Student Union’s food court for “PSU Student Athlete” use only.

Sarah met up with Amber after her P.E. class, and both decided to sit in the exclusive section instead of taking a seat outside to voice their opposition to the seating rule.

“[We] also both ran in Race For The Cure, and we’re both students, so I think we both have just as much right to sit here [as Viking team members],” Sarah Griffiths said.

“I thought I left this kind of attitude behind in high school,” Griffiths added.
