I could not actually believe that the administration at PSU would jump on the bandwagon of post-911 rhetoric. Justifying their choice for commencement speaker with a patriotic wash is as demeaning as the pageant’s parading of body parts. Personally, I am embarrassed that the academic luster of my degree is only as bright as a beauty queen’s tiara. Thank you, PSU administration, for proving once and for all that PSU is dedicated more to marketing itself than to its academic fitness.
