Over 300 students packed into Room 329 in the Smith Memorial Student Union, Tuesday, hoping to find a senior capstone project to fit their ideals.

Capstone coordinator, Seanna Kerrigan, said the event offered a wide array of capstones for students to ponder, from cutting edge technology capstones to tutoring capstones.

“We wanted to empower the students to make sound decisions over their capstone choices,” she said.

Kerrigan said that during the six years the fair has been running, it has grown tremendously.

“We’ve really gone from 50 capstones to 175 over the past few years,” she said.

Kerrigan was encouraged by the turnout and said there was a good showing of freshmen and sophomores, as opposed to the amount of juniors and seniors who normally frequent the event.

“We’re thrilled with the turnout,” Kerrigan said.

Kerrigan said one of the main reasons for holding the fair was for students “to get a better sense of the work they will be putting in” to their capstone project.
