Labor workers march for May Day
Hundreds of demonstrators marched south on Broadway through downtown Portland decrying labor practices on Thursday.
The group carried banners, some of which had messages such as “Work to live, not live to work – labor unite” and “Mayday is about the eight-hour day.”
Speakers at the event decried the U.S.-led war in Iraq and labor-related issues.
