Beggars Banquet“The world thirsts for a car/a new deodorant/the life as advertised.” Thus begins the first track, “Living 2 Low.” Sound contrived? Maybe. This release is good at first, but eventually the ultra-cool vocal inflections of the singer start to drag on the casual listener. NWK’s approach is a bit cocky. Their sound, which was fresh six years ago with its jazzy post-rock approach, is sounding very tired in 2001.
