Diana Abu-Jaber, PSU professor, will be reading from her new novel, “Crescent,” at Powell’s Books on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Abu-Jaber will also be reading at Annie Bloom’s Books in Multnomah Village, April 30 at 7:30 p.m.

Abu-Jaber’s book chronicles an Arab woman living in San Francisco and was recently named number 10 on the Northwest Booksellers Association bestsellers’ list.

International Night

Friday from 6 to 10 p.m., the Organization of International Students will hold International Night 2003. The event emphasizes diversity and internationalism.

There will be a fashion show as well as various performances highlighting countries all around the world. Ethnic cuisines will be served and informational booths will be set up to better inform students about other countries.

Student tickets are $4 in advance and $6 at the door. Regular adult tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Children under 12 are free.
