Once again the world is saved by kids
A Wrinkle in Time
Northwest Children’s Theater
Oct. 5-28, $15 and $10.
Need a carrot – or perhaps a candy bar – to dangle in front of your child for an afternoon, an hour, or just 15 minutes of peaceful study time?
Well, thankfully the Northwest Children’s Theater is presenting “A Wrinkle in Time” just in time for midterms.
Madeleine L’Engle’s award-winning book “A Wrinkle in Time” has been adapted for the stage by playwright Moses Goldberg.
The play’s story a nutshell (for those unfortunate souls who don’t know the story already) involves three intrepid kid heroes who save their father and the whole human race from the dark, despicable menace known as IT.
“A Wrinkle in Time” runs Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m., from Oct. 5-28 at Northwest Children’s Theater, 1819 N.W. Everett. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids 10 and under. Call 503-222-4480 for information.
The Northwest Children’s Theater is also hosting its annual costume rummage sale fundraiser just in time for Halloween. Donations are being accepted until Oct.13. Call 503-241-9325 for a drop off time and to receive a tax receipt, because all donations are tax deductible. The sale itself runs Oct. 20 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 539 N.W. 13th.
