Senatorial Candidate Lauren McCartney

Senatorial Candidates

Question one: What is your major, year in school? What do you want to do when you graduate (or grow up, whichever comes first)?

Question two: What qualifies you (experience) and what characteristics would you bring to the senate that will make you a vital part of the student senate?

Question three: What do you see as the most important aspect of the position you are applying for?

Lauren McCartney

1. I am a freshman with strong interests in biology and anthropology, but it’s hard to tell what will happen in four years. After I graduate I intend to join PeaceCorp.

2. As an intern with OSPIRG I have learned how to organize people and make sure that their voices are heard. As a senator I intend to make decisions that will benefit the students and the community.

3. College students have a unique advantage because they are exposed to many opinions and views about the world. When students are involved in the issues at PSU, they are involved in the community and the world.
