The Vikings volleyball team started out the season with a 5-0 start, their best start in years. Then fell to Wisconsin-Green Bay, 3-2, and next to New Mexico State 3-0. The two losses are the only blemishes on the Vikings record who took all three games against Simon Fraser this past Monday.
The Viks totaled 10 kills on 12 attempts. Kristin Ratzlaff also had a team high of 12 digs. Although Portland State swept Simon Fraser, the “foreign” game, played in Canada, doesn’t count toward NCAA standings and was played with international rules.
The Vikings next home match will be on Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. against Eastern Washington in the Peter Stott Center.
