I want to comment on the Forrest Gump manner in which the Stott Center is managed. At least once, but usually 2 or 3 times a week, there is nobody there to open the weight room or the circuit room. If there is a scheduling conflict that week, post a notice and the patrons can adjust their schedules accordingly. That is common courtesy. If the work-study person is too drunk/lazy/tired to get out of bed and do the job they are paid to do, the person responsible for hiring them should take some initiative and open the room themselves. I just can’t believe that a university this size can’t find decent management for a facility that gets so much use.
