The Publications Board for Portland State announced appointed the leaders for PSU’s four student publications and graphic design center for the 2004 – 2005 academic year, Monday.
Joel Masters was selected as manager of the Graphic Design Center, which oversees a graphic design business for students and others.
Marlena Gangi was chosen to return as editor of the The Rearguard, the twice-monthly publication of an alternative viewpoint.
Kevin Friedman was selected as editor of The Portland Review, PSU’s thrice-yearly literary review.
Brian Searles was chosen to continue as editor of The Portland Spectator, a monthly magazine of conservative political commentary.
Christian Gaston was chosen to return for a second year as editor of The Vanguard.
The Publications Board is an all-university committee composed of four tenured faculty members, a university staff member, a public member and two students.
