Wrestling loses final home dual to Oregon

Portland State wresting faced the tough Oregon Ducks last Wednesday at the Peter W. Stott Center. Unfortunately the Ducks were too much for the Vikings as they shutout the Viks 42-0 in PSU’s last home match of the year.

The Ducks took command of the match in the beginning, building up a 10 point lead in the first two matches.

Senior Collen Quinn had his seven match win streak broken, by losing to Shane Webster, who is also ranked 11th in the nation.

The closest match of the night came at 165 pounds, where Luke Larwin defeated senior Eric Arbogast 4-3.

In the last match of the night Casey Kotter fought hard throughout all three rounds, but couldn’t get the much needed reversal and lost 5-3.

The Viks will head to Boise, Idaho, for the Pac-10 Conference Championships. The Championship starts March 2.
