VOX offers pre-Halloween party

“Don’t be scared to get tested,” urges Portland State’s chapter of VOX, Voices for Choice, as it throws its first Halloween party. Happening tonight in the Browsing Lounge, Room 238 of Smith Memorial Student Union, the party will feature a theme of sexually transmitted disease (STD) awareness.

Teaming with Student Health Services and the Pre-Health Society, the event will feature tips on prevention of STDs and the resources offered to students at PSU. Interactive games to promote understanding of STDs will be played for prizes. Costumes are also encouraged and will be judged for prizes.

The national program VOX, which is Latin for “voice,” is a group committed to reproductive health rights. Alisha Moadab founded PSU’s chapter last year and encourages students to attend the group’s event.

Free food and music by KPSU will also be provided. The entire party is free.

More information on VOX can be found at its party or by contacting the organization by e-mail at [email protected].
